Buy As You View Launches Major Recruitment Drive and Dedicated Careers Site!

July 19, 2010

Household goods retailer and consumer finance provider, Buy As You View, is bucking the downturn trend with a major new recruitment drive as part of its plan to double the company size within five years.

Chief executive, Graham Clarke said:

"6m UK consumers are typically denied mainstream credit to purchase essential household items and we currently only reach around 100,000 of these with our affordable alternative credit and goods. As a responsible lender, with an annual turnover of GBP 65m, we have huge potential to further grow our business, expand our customer reach and create local job opportunities across the UK. To achieve this, we remain committed to investing in the right people, processes and technology."

Integral to this recruitment drive, which will create and fill 155 additional posts over the next 24 months, is the company's newly-launched dedicated jobs microsite www.bayv.co.uk/careers.

Marketing director, John Smith said:

"We've just invested GBP 60,000 in upgrading our website as part of our ongoing commitment to improve customer service. Improvements that have already tripled the amount of customers contacting us online. Our new online jobs microsite will further enhance our ability to attract and retain the right calibre people needed to service and grow our customer base."

Unlike other leading job sites in the market place, www.bayv.co.uk/careers is the first of its kind to provide a fully interactive experience for job seekers. In addition to full details of current vacancies and online application tools, candidates can also get a better feel for the company and personalities behind the brand with a range of video office tours and staff interviews.

BAYV is looking to recruit 48 new part-time customer account managers across the UK which is the first phase of a company expansion that will see 155 jobs being created in the next 24 months.
